How to Prepare

All grains have been thoroughly prewashed for your convenience.


1. Add 1.5 cups of grains to 2 to 2.5 cups of water or broth in a sauce pan.  Playing between this water ratio will determine if the texture is grainy or moist and fluffy.  Bring to a boil.

 2. Once at a boil, lower the heat to simmer and cook covered for 18 minutes, or until all water is absorbed.  

 3. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.  

Add salt and/or butter to taste, if desired.

Please note:  For a fluffy texture please use 2 1/4 cups of water to 1.5 cups grains.

Use these Cooking Instructions as official.  Some of our bags recommend 2 3/4 cups of water, and there have since been changes.  New bags which reflect the changes are on the way!

Power Grain Blend

All grains have been thoroughly prewashed for your convenience.


1. Add 1 cup of grains to 2 cups of water or broth and 1 Tspn of oil in a sauce pan.  Bring to a boil.

 2. Once at a boil, lower the heat to simmer and cook covered for 15-20 minutes, or until all water is absorbed.  

 3. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.  

 

 4. Fluff grains and dress how desired.

Add salt and/or butter to taste, if desired.

 

New Alternative!

Rice Cooker Instructions

All grains have been thoroughly prewashed for your convenience.


1. Coat the bottom of the cook pot with about a tspn of olive oil. 

 

2. Add 1 cup of grains to 2 and 1/8 cups of water or broth in a rice cooker pot.


3. Close the lid, and set cooker to "Cook" position

 

4. Return to the pot when the cooker is flipped to "Keep Warm", open the lid and fluff the grains.  Allow the grains to sit for 10 minutes after fluffed. 


Add salt and/or butter to taste, if desired.

Please note:  For a softer texture please use 2 1/4 cups of water to 1 cup of grains
